Winterising your Softub correctly

If you do not want to use your Softub in winter, first clean and dry the tank, ideally by placing a dehumidification box inside. Close the lid.

We recommend that the Softub is regularly aired, the dehumidifier box emptied and a new refill used.

Please note that the motor must be stored in a frost-free environment.

Softub in winter is great!

Thanks to its low power consumption you can also use your Softub in winter. This is even the best season to bask in the warm water and enjoy the benefits of hydrotherapy.

Did you know that?

Not winterizing your Softub and leaving it in operation is also better for your Softub.

The ideal : the spa runs at 18 degrees and stays on. You treat the spa every 15 days

Steps :

  1. Empty the Softub
  2. Detach the motor unit from the tank and place it in a frost-free room.
  3. Put the tank upright with the pipes down to drain the pipes.
  4. Dry the tank thoroughly to prevent mould growth
  5. Close the lid, clip the straps and place a protective cover over the tank.

Empty and disconnect your motor from the tank and motor by tilting it.

Make sure that all water is removed from the pipes, both from the tank and from the motor and the tilt.

You place the motor in the box, be careful to carry your motor from the bottom and not from the connections as this could damage them.
Tip: open both sides of the box (top and bottom) and slide it over the motor then lean the box to the side to close it.
Belgium - You drop off the box containing your engine at the nearest point B post.
Luxembourg - You contact us to arrange for the collection of the box.

We carry out minor maintenance

Here is a description of a small maintenance, recommended after 2, 4, 8 and 10 years of use:

  • Basic assembly and disassembly
  • Internal engine cleaning
  • Ozonator pipework, change
  • Miscellaneous, expenses, small equipment, testing
  • Leathertex/syntex cleaning
  • PVP incl. VAT: 249€ (parts and labour in workshop)

When the engine is dismantled, if any work other than minor maintenance is to be carried out, we will inform you and enclose an estimate. Any additional work is subject to your approval before it is carried out.

You will receive your engine as new!
 
When you receive your motor, all you have to do is reconnect it to the pool so that you can enjoy your spa again in complete peace of mind.
